Chief of Army Staff
General Waker-Uz-Zaman, SBP, OSP, SGP, psc assumed the role of Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army on 23 June 2024, bringing over three decades of distinguished military experience. He has held key command, staff, and instructional roles, including Chief of General Staff, Military Secretary, and Principal Staff Officer to the Prime Minister. An alumnus of prestigious institutions like King’s College London and the UK’s Joint Services Command and Staff College, he has contributed significantly to UN peacekeeping, military modernization, and national events. He was honored with the Extraordinary Service Medal and Army Medal of Glory.

Major General Md Masudur Rahman

Adjutant General, Bangladesh Army
Major General Md Masudur Rahman, ndc, psc recently completed a successful tenure as GOC of 10 Infantry Division and Area Commander in Cox's Bazar. Commissioned in 1991 into the Infantry Corps, he has held key command, staff, and instructional roles, including Defence Attaché in Myanmar and service in UN missions (UNIKOM and UNMIL). A distinguished academic, he holds multiple advanced degrees, including from King's College London and BUP, and has completed strategic and language training in various countries. His career spans assignments and training across over 15 nations.

Brig. Gen. Md. Nishatul Islam Khan

Brig Gen Md Nishatul Islam Khan, commissioned in 1993, has held diverse command, staff, and instructional roles across regiments, headquarters, and training institutions, including the National Defence College and DGFI. He commanded an infantry regiment and brigade, served in key positions such as Deputy Commander of the President Guard Regiment, and contributed as Directing Staff for the Armed Forces War Course. A graduate of prestigious institutions like the National Defence College, Mirpur, and UK Defence Academy, he also earned a Master's in Security and Strategic Studies from Tanzania. He participated in UN missions in Sierra Leone and Sudan and visited 32 countries. Currently, he serves as Director, Internal Affairs Bureau at HQ DGFI.

Brig. Gen. Md. Sajjad Hossain

Brig Gen Sajjad of the Bangladesh Army, born on 22 November 1972 in Rangamati, was commissioned on 16 December 1993. He holds three master's degrees in national security, strategy and development, and defense studies from prestigious institutions, along with diplomas and certifications in supply chain, operations, HR, project management, and strategic leadership. His diverse career includes commanding regimental units, serving as an instructor at ASC Centre and School and Bangladesh Military Academy, and holding staff roles such as ADC to CAS and Director of Welfare and Rehabilitations. He has also contributed significantly in three UN missions in logistics and training roles.

Brigadier General Selim Azad, hdmc, psc was born on 22 March 1976 in a reputed Muslim family in Dhaka. He was commissioned with 34 BMA Long Course on 07 June 1996 in the corps of Infantry. In a span of 28 years with Bangladesh Army, the officer has held a variety of important command, instructional and staff appointments. In his personal life, Brigadier General Selim Azad is happily married and blessed with two sons.

Brig Gen Shams Mohammad Mamun, ndu, psc, born on 15 July 1976 in Chattogram, excelled academically, ranking in the top ten in SSC and HSC exams from Cumilla Cadet College. Commissioned in 1996 with the 35 BMA Long Course, he received the prestigious `Sword of Honour. He is a graduate of DSCSC, Bangladesh, and US Army CGSC, Fort Leavenworth, with further training at Cranfield University, UK, and NDU, China, among others. Holding two master's degrees, he earned the 'Chancellor's Award' for his MBA. With a distinguished career as an instructor, staff officer, and commander, he currently serves as Commandant of ASU since August 2024.

Brigadier General Md Mohashin Reza, OSP, afwc, psc, commissioned in 1997, has commanded various units in the Bangladesh Army and served in key staff and instructional roles, including at DSCSC, Dhaka. A graduate of DSCSC Bangladesh and the Royal Saudi Arabian Combined Staff College, he also completed the Armed Forces War Course at NDC, Bangladesh, earning a master's in defense studies. He participated in three UN missions, commanding a multinational task force in MINUSMA, Mali, and was awarded the Outstanding Service Medal for a successful operation. He enjoys music and reading.

Mr. Anisuddin Ahmed Khan
Mr. Anisuddin Ahmed Khan, a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh, is a seasoned banker and former Managing Director & CEO of Mutual Trust Bank Limited (2009-2019). With over 38 years of experience across leading financial institutions, he specializes in corporate banking, credit operations, risk management, and financial inclusion. He has presented papers at Harvard and Yale, attended leadership training at Cambridge and INSEAD, and served as Chairman of ABB and PDBL. Currently, he is an Adjunct Professor at IUB, Independent Director at Berger Paints, and involved in multiple corporate and philanthropic organizations.

Nusrat Khan
Nusrat Khan, born on 13 March 1983 in Dhaka, is a charismatic and hardworking leader who inspires peers with her dedication and excellence. She began her career as a lecturer at East West University and later joined the Department of Finance at the University of Dhaka, where she is now an Associate Professor. With an MSc in Management of Risks (distinction) from St. John's University, New York, she is a Fulbright Scholar and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. Renowned for her academic excellence and numerous journal publications, she also serves as an independent director of Bangladesh Welding Electrodes Ltd. Her achievements have earned her widespread admiration in academia and beyond.

Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury
Mr. Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, a seasoned banking professional with nearly four decades of experience, has held key roles at AB Bank, Eastern Bank Limited, and Trust Bank PLC. Joining Trust Bank in 2016, he rose to Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer in 2020 and later served as Managing Director (In-Charge). Renowned for his expertise in business development, corporate banking, and strategic decision-making, he has driven profitability and excellence at Trust Bank. A graduate of the University of Chittagong, he is also an avid golfer, traveler, and active member of socio-cultural organizations, embodying leadership and dedication in all facets of his life.
